Research Staff

Iain Gillott, the founder and president of iGR, is an acknowledged wireless and mobile industry authority and an accomplished presenter. Mr. Gillott has been involved in the wireless industry, as both a vendor and analyst, for more than thirteen years. He is a frequent speaker on industry issues and trends and has addressed audiences around the world and at many of the leading industry trade shows, including CES, SuperComm, WiMAX World, BREW, 3G Americas, and CTIA. He has also been a guest lecturer on the wireless industry at the University of Texas and at Thunderbird. In addition, he is frequently quoted in various publications, including Investors Business Daily, the Wall Street Journal, Telephony, RCR, Newsweek International, Wireless Week, and Business Week and has appeared on CNN, CNBC, and TechTV.

Matthew Vartabedian is the Research Manager for the Enterprise Wireless and Mobile flexible subscription service. Mr. Vartabedian joined iGR in November 2002 as Senior Analyst. Prior to joining iGR, Mr. Vartabedian was Senior Editor with Telecom Business, a telecommunications trade magazine owned by Intertec/Primedia. As Senior Editor, he has authored numerous articles and commentaries on the business strategies and technologies driving both the wireline and wireless telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Telecom Business, Mr. Vartabedian held senior editorial positions at several other telecommunications trade magazine. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Russian from Wake Forest University.

Support staff

Of course, it takes more than two people to support our business. In addition to the core research team, iGR is supported by a team of back-office staff who provide financial support (invoicing, accounts payable, etc), document editing and finishing, vendor and carrier profile support and Web-survey support.
