Flexible Subscription Services - Wireless & Mobile Industries
Since its inception, the wireless industry has gone through myriad changes. Even as the market approaches maturity in some regions, the evolution of the marketplace is continuing to take place. Business models are maturing and the metrics that drive the industry are changing.
In order to help those in the wireless space stay abreast of current trends and technologies, as well as to maximize their investment, iGR offers a Flexible Subscription Service called Wireless and Mobile Industries (WMI).
This service examines the mobile operator side of wireless communications. Although it is focused on the United States, this service does provide a global wireless perspective through a series of Worldwide Wireless Forecasts, examining the development, appeal and adoption of various wireless technologies, services, devices and applications in other regions of the world.
With approximately 56.4 million mobile workers employed among the U.S.’s private industry, the small, medium and large business market is a nexus of a great many strategic plans. Mobile operators, mobile device manufacturers, enterprise equipment OEMs, value added resellers, systems integrators and independent software vendors are all intensely interested in creating a self-fueling wireless ecosystem built around the needs of those mobile workers. WMI now includes research on the enterprise wireless market opportunity.
Primary Research
In 2005, iGR conducted its first Mobile Media survey of consumers using a range of mobile media applications and services. This survey was repeated in 2006 and was fielded again quarterly throughout 2008, with questions provided by our clients.
For 2009, iGR will survey consumers in the U.S. market monthly. All of the data will be available to clients, and clients will have direct input into the survey questions.
For the business market research, iGR will conduct surveys of mobile workers (those out of the office 20 percent or more of the time) in small business and large enterprises. A range of issues will be researched, including use of smart devices, data applications and services used, and mobile voice and data spending.

Our Approach to Subscription Services
Most other subscription services available to date have simply delivered what the research analysts think the clients want, or worse, should have. Little feedback is incorporated from the customer, despite what the sales exec will tell you before you sign up.
iGR addresses this problem with a fresh new approach – the Flexible Subscription Service (FSS). Rather than ignore our clients, we incorporate their feedback, via the Web, directly into our research schedule. The topics we research are the ones our clients have indicated as priorities.
How We Do It
At the beginning of each quarter, iGR publishes a list of suggested research titles and subjects on its Web site. Clients are sent an email containing a link to a site that will allow them to prioritize the research for that quarter. There is also an area to suggest research topics that are not listed – it is that easy. We then compile the results and start work on the most popular topics, to be delivered as either Market Studies or Market Briefs.
Since this process is repeated at the beginning of each quarter, our published research addresses what is current in the industry and the issues facing your business. You set the research agenda!
What if I am the only person interested in a specific area?
Do not worry! Since each FSS includes time for Custom Research, we can easily address your needs on a one-to-one basis. Or, depending on your time frame, schedule the research for the next quarter. Either way, we will work with you to get you the information you need when you need it!
Deliverables
Each subscription includes the following deliverables:
